42nd Street has supported young people aged 11-25 years with their emotional welbeing and mental health for over 37 years.

They promote choice and creativity by championing young person-centred approaches that demonstrate local impact and have national significance.

Its professional team offers young people from across Greater Manchester one to one counselling, therapy, psycho-social support and advocacy plus a range of therapeutic, issue and identity-based groups, peer support projects, residentials and a social action programme. It also offers a growing creative programme via its purpose built venue-The Horsfall.

As part of its commitment to Children’s Mental Health Week, we have made a £2000 donation to the 42nd Street charity.

Simone Spray, Chief Executive Officer of 42nd Street, commented:” Virtual College’ s generous contribution will help to support some of the most vulnerable young women that access our service via our Young Women’s group.

“This is a safe space for young women to get together and talk about what is going on for them, building their confidence and self-esteem and provides an opportunity for them to learn new skills and coping strategies that help them in their everyday lives.”
