Julie Rimington

Julie RimingtonJulie Rimington is a qualified and experienced social worker. She has worked for Local Authorities for over 25 years as a social worker and probation officer.

During this time she developed enhanced skills within the child protection and youth justice field. Julie has worked in front line child protection, worked as a residential worker; project managed a number of innovative schemes with youth justice and was an inspector in the early year’s sector.

Before embarking on an independent career in 2009 Julie was also the learning and development advisor for Lincolnshire Safeguarding Children Board. A major achievement in this post included the introduction of the Safeguarding e-Academy in Lincolnshire.

Julie has a long term involvement with the Virtual College providing support and consultancy. Her particular areas of expertise include safeguarding children and young people and domestic abuse. Julie is an excellent facilitator and receives very positive feedback. She is currently developing a number of new innovative programmes including enhancing learning and development using baby simulators and working with male victims of domestic abuse.
