Safeguarding Academy Steps up to help Organisations with Limited Resources

The Safeguarding team have always been committed to ensuring maximum value for money for our members and have recently been working hard with our members to look at how the budget cuts are affecting them and how we can help. They have come up with a number of new options to ensure members have the maximum flexibility to enhance their training delivery within the constraints of their resources.

New online tool to streamline Section 11 Audits

The Safeguarding e-Academy in conjunction with Virtual College has developed an online tool which will revolutionise the audits, allows organisations to save money and time by allowing organisations to complete their own Section 11 Audits online.

Contact Point Closure - Update!

The following message was released by the Department for Education: “We are scrapping ContactPoint. We will develop better ways of keeping children safe. The investment made won’t be wasted because we can use the technical expertise we’ve acquired to protect those children most in need. But the idea of a single national IT database for all children has gone for good.” The DfE will be shutting down ContactPoint in a safe and secure manner from 6th August.
