"E-learning was a totally new experience to me and to be honest I was a bit apprehensive as I do not see myself as very computer literate. However I found the course was very easy to follow and the format made learning a pleasure. It was great to be able to fit the course around my diary and I would recommend it to anyone."

Zoe's Place Baby Hospice

A donation of £2000 has been made to Zoe's Place Baby Hospice on behalf of the Safeguarding Children e-Academy.

Zoë’s Place is one of only two Baby Hospices in the UK offering specialist respite and palliative care to babies and infants from birth to five years old with life limiting, life threatening illnesses, special and complex needs. To ensure that they can continue to provide this service they need to raise in excess of £850,000 each year.

They currently help over 50 families at the present time and can accommodate six infants at any one time for an overnight stay and can provide accommodation for the whole family if needed. The main aim is to provide specialist nursing care for each child whilst simultaneously providing much needed respite for the parents/carers. They have an open access policy and no set catchment area and are pleased to welcome babies from any part of the UK.
